Upgrade your license

If you own an older yearly edition of Big Picture Money, you can optionally upgrade to a newer release year. Your license never expires — upgrading is only when you want features from a newer edition.

Prerequisites​

  • An existing Big Picture Money license (license.bp)
  • Your license ID and purchase email

Steps​

  1. Sign in on the website with a magic link to your purchase email (My Devices area), when upgrade checkout is available there.
  2. Open the yearly upgrade checkout from the pricing page or account area and choose the Standard or Contributor upgrade price that matches the license you want.
  3. Complete payment on Stripe Checkout.
  4. Check your email for an updated license.bp with the same license ID and a newer edition year.
  5. Import the new license file in the desktop app.

An in-app upgrade button that applies the new license automatically is planned; until that ships, use the website path above.

Expected result​

  • Your license ID stays the same.
  • Edition year in the app reflects the upgraded release.
  • You receive updates for the new edition year.

Note​

Yearly upgrade checkout currently requires website sign-in via magic link when that flow is enabled. You do not need to upload your license file to the website.
