View open-source licenses

Big Picture Money is built with open-source software. You can review the third-party packages it uses and read each one's full license text, all inside the app.

This is not your product license. To manage the Big Picture Money edition you bought, use Activate your license.

Prerequisites

  • Big Picture Money is installed and open.
  • No internet connection is required — the attribution list ships with the app.

Open the open-source licenses viewer

The viewer is reached from the About dialog — it is intentionally de-emphasized and is not a top-level Help menu item.

  1. In the title bar, click the Help icon.
  2. Choose About Big Picture Money.
  3. In the About dialog, click the small Open-source licenses link.
  4. The viewer opens with a list of open-source packages.

Browse packages and read license text

  1. Scroll or filter the list to find a package by name.
  2. Select a package to see its details.
  3. Read the full license text (for example, MIT or Apache-2.0) for the selected package.
  4. Close the viewer when you are done.

Expected result

  • Opening Help → About Big Picture Money and clicking the Open-source licenses link opens a list of open-source packages.
  • Each entry shows the package name and its license.
  • Selecting a package shows its full license text.
  • The viewer works offline.
  • This viewer never shows your product license or activation controls.
