Import from other software
When you switch to Big Picture Money, you can bring history from another product instead of starting from a blank register.
YNAB
Import from YNAB reads the official Export Budget ZIP from the YNAB web app (Register + optional Budget). It creates accounts, categories, transactions, transfers, splits, and optional Envelope budget targets on this device.

This is different from bank file import (CSV, QFX/OFX), which brings transactions into one account with column mapping or OFX parsing.
Privacy
Your export stays on your computer. Parsing and commit write only to your encrypted local data file. Big Picture Money does not upload the ZIP or connect to YNAB with your password.
Other products
Dedicated migrators for Quicken, Mint, Monarch, Simplifi, and similar tools are planned separately. Until then, use CSV or QFX/OFX where those products can export bank-style files.
