Use YNAB's official export
In the YNAB web app, open your budget and choose Export Budget. Big Picture Money reads the downloaded ZIP on your device. Your export is never uploaded.
The guided import brings over accounts, category groups, transaction history, transfers, splits, and flag colors as tags. You can also import every month in the Budget CSV as Envelope targets and review expected income before committing.
Review before anything is written
Choose account types, review category and budget summaries, and see counts and warnings before you commit. A new data file is the cleanest way to try the migration, while best-effort account matching also supports an existing file.
